The Rotary Club of Warminster will hold its 6th Annual Charity Golf Outing on Friday, April 24, 10:00am, at Five Ponds Golf Club in Warminster, PA. This event is a major fundraising effort for our club. All proceeds from the golf outing go toward supporting meaningful community projects and Rotary International fundraising initiatives. Our club gives back about $30,000 annually in its charitable donations, including local and direct philanthropy, vocational service, scholarships to local high school seniors, and many more charitable efforts! Last year, we were able to net close to $18,000! This would not have been possible without the generous support of all our sponsors, golfers, dinner guests, and volunteers!

The Rotary Club of Warminster supports the following initiatives: Warminster Food Bank to feed families and elderly residents in need, Big Brothers Big Sisters, BucksMont CHADD, Craven Hall, Ivyland Fire Company, Pearl S. Buck Foundation, honor Benson-Campbell Foundation initiatives and honor a William Tennent “Service Above Self Award” for their academic and Volunteer accomplishments in the community. Rotary donates money and time to organizations such as Wreaths for Veterans, Enviornmental Projects, Sara’s Smiles, which provides inspiration kits for children with cancer while they are receiving treatment in the hospital. We have upcoming environmental projects to help clean up the community, parks, and streams. We support STEM YEA, which provides children the opportunity to attend a NASA camp at University. We also support communities locally, nationally, and globally. For instance, we donate Shelter Boxes. These Shelter Boxes provide emergency shelter and essential aid items to families around the world who have lost their homes to disaster or conflict.

The proceeds of the tournament allow the Rotary Club to continue supporting our local community and nonprofits. It also allows the club to provide multiple college scholarships to young men and women from Archbishop Wood, William Tennent and Middle Bucks Institute of Technology.

Check-In at the Five Ponds will begin at 8:15am. Light grab-and-go breakfast will be available before golf, and the tournament shotgun start will be at 10:00am. Our goal as a club for our sixth year is to raise $15,000!

To continue these efforts and good work, we need your help! YOU can help the Rotary Club of Warminster make a difference in the Warminster Community by supporting this year’s golf tournament:
